Adventures

As home to 8 of the 14 highest peaks on Earth, including Mount Everest (8,848.86 meters), it is no surprise that trekking and mountaineering are the crown jewels of Nepal’s tourism industry. Every year, over 30,000 trekkers journey to the Everest Base Camp alone, while thousands more explore the equally popular Annapurna Circuit and Langtang Valley treks. These treks provide stunning panoramas of the Himalayas, alongside a chance to experience Nepal’s diverse flora and fauna, as well as warm hospitality from the local communities.

For thrill-seekers, Nepal is more than just its trekking trails. The country offers a variety of high-adrenaline activities, including white-water rafting on the roaring Trishuli and Bhote Koshi Rivers, which attract rafters from across the globe for their challenging rapids. Nepal is also home to one of the world's highest bungee jumps, with a 160-meter plunge into the Bhote Koshi River gorge. Paragliding in Pokhara, often referred to as one of the best paragliding spots in the world, offers breathtaking aerial views of the Annapurna Range and the serene Phewa Lake. For wildlife enthusiasts, Chitwan National Park and Bardia National Park provide jungle safaris where you can encounter Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceroses, and exotic bird species in their natural habitats. With over 30% of Nepal covered by protected national parks and conservation areas, adventure here is as diverse as it is thrilling.
